Here is a round, wood press that is only about 1/4 of an inch deep - not deep enough for a hamburger press - maybe a small tortilla press or it might hold salt for margaritas and salty dogs.
Bottom is marked with Standard Specialty label, made in Japan. Art on front is familiar roosters - two of them.

Piece is all wood with single metal hinge at back.
